ITIL4 Foundation training
2289 EX Rijswijk
ITIL 4 Foundation is the entry level course for ITIL certification in IT Service Management (ITSM). The training course is designed as an introduction to ITIL 4 and enables you to understand a new way of looking at IT Service Management through a Service Value System. ITIL 4 brings IT Service Management up to date by reshaping many established ITSM practices in the wider context of customer experience, value streams, and digital transformation. An important part of the training is to link ITIL to new ways of working, such as Lean, Agile and DevOps.
What’s the difference between ITIL v3 and ITIL 4? In a nutshell, ITIL v3 describes Service Management around 26 processes and functions that are part of a continuous process of 5 life cycles: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement. All of this v3 knowledge is still very worthwhile and relevant!
ITIL 4 however takes you through a more evolved view of a Service Value System (SVS), which provides a holistic end-to-end picture of what it really means to contribute to business value, and also integrates concepts from models such as Lean IT, Agile and DevOps as mentioned above.
The disciplines covered in the training represent a service lifecycle framework that further enhances alignment to the business while demonstrating business value and ROI and enabling IT to solve specific operational needs.
This course includes handouts and references useful after the class, as well as practice sessions, exam strategies, and test-taking tips. The one-hour ITIL ® Foundation exam will be offered as an option on the last day of class.
This two-day training course prepares you for the exam leading to the ITIL 4 Foundation certificate. The ITIL 4 Foundation certificate is a requirement for taking any of the ITIL Managing Professional and ITIL Strategic Leader modules that lead up to the ITIL Master qualification.
At the end of this new two-day course, attendees will have an understanding of the following:
• High level overview of ITIL v3’s 5-step Lifecycle model and how the current 26 processes and functions map to the new ITIL 4 model SVS model
• The seven Guiding Principles of ITIL 4
• ITIL’s new Service Value Chain
• The four dimensions of Service Management
• The 34 ITIL practices, with a primary focus on 18 of these
• Key concepts from Lean IT, Agile, DevOps, and Organizational Change Management, and why these are important to deliver business value
Who should attend
